Save-the-dates have become very popular within the past few years.  More commonly seen with weddings taking place over long holiday weekends or near big holidays, it seems that every bride is utilizing these helpful reminders for their guest lists.  So, why do we love save-the-dates, and think you should too?

1.  It forewarns guests of your wedding date.  We have very busy lives these days, and a “heads up” is always a great way of making sure there is space on the calendar for your special event.

2.  With so many cute designs ranging from calendar magnets to personalized photos and postcards, it is another way of making a statement when reminding guests of your upcoming nuptials.

3.  You can include accommodation information along with your save-the-date so your guests can plan accordingly and reserve a room or car rental far in advance.

4.  Some guests will let you know when they receive that save-the-date that they are unable to attend.  This will help you with projections of actual counts a bit in advance.

Save-the-dates can be sent out as soon as your venue is booked and your date is secured.  The more in advance your guests know about your big day, the better able they will have the day set aside to spend with you!
